This was our second time going to the fish fry parade, and we had more friends with us this time. Last year we nearly froze and this year we were all sweating bullets! It was interesting that the parade, which lasted two hours last time, was much less exciting this year...bands and such didn't come because of the price of gas! The world, it is a changin'! But, the kids didn't notice. We then attempted (key word there) to take our 6 kids out to lunch at a fabulous Italian restaurant that we ate at last year...with 2 kids. They actually asked us to sit outside and looked sincerely terrified of us. We were all betting that they drew straws to see who would have to wait on our sweating, screaming, running crazy in circles bunch. You know when a situation is just so insane all you can do is laugh, or cry, and ultimately learn a valuable lesson...this was one of those. Fast food with a play area...that's the ticket!!
