Symphony

Ah, the Symphony...Ben and I discovered a few years ago that it is a special date night to get to go to the symphony. We really truly actually enjoy it and it makes us feel like we have at least a little culture in our lives! We get to get dressed up and what's even better than that is that we often get to go free (except for the babysitter cost) because Ben's firm regularly gets tickets that nobody else is interested in. So, that is a treat, but once a year they have a free concert on the lawn of a local church and we have loved going since we discovered it. We have taken Gracie before, but this year was the first year she really got it. SHE LOVED IT!!!! One of her new favorite shows is Little Einstein's which actually teaches some basic music theory and always has a different composer's music each show. As soon as the music began she was ecstatic! "Little Einstein's, Mommy-Daddy" (By the way, she actually gets that we are one...since she usually just combines our names into one.) Although it was past bedtime and she was exhausted, she was mesmerized the whole time and sat in Daddy's lap entranced. It was really special to see them love music together.
